How do I adjust the pressure and make sure it is even across the platen?
Pressure on a manual heat press is controlled by turning the pressure knob (clockwise to increase, counter‑clockwise to decrease). Because there is no digital readout, the best way to verify even pressure is the paper test: place a standard sheet of paper between the heated platen and your substrate, close the press, and try to pull the paper out. If it slides out with moderate resistance and does not fall out on its own, the pressure is generally well balanced.
• If pressure is too light, the transfer may appear faded or patchy.
• If pressure is too heavy, you may see indentations or image bleeding.
Adjust the knob in small increments and repeat the test until you achieve consistent results across the whole transfer area.

Temperature sensor – if it has been exposed to excessive heat, it may need replacement.
Relay switch – ensure the relay is properly connected and not burnt.
Platen connections – high‑temperature operation can occasionally loosen solder joints; inspect the wiring.
Power supply – confirm that the outlet provides the required voltage and wattage.
Heating element – over time, the element may degrade; check for any visible damage or loose contacts.

Internal circuit board – if you are comfortable doing so, open the housing and check for burnt marks, swollen components, or loose connections. (Always unplug the machine before opening.)
